Scope

Architecture & Interior

The Brief

The client approached us with a challenging plot embedded deeply inside a heavily sloped mountain terrain. The strict mandate was an uncompromising modern aesthetic that heavily featured exposed black concrete, glass, and geometric sharp corners.

The Execution

Our response heavily drew from brutalist aesthetics infused with seamless luxury comfort on the interior. The structure itself bridges a profound valley utilizing massive cantilevered platforms. We utilized Japanese polished black concrete for the exterior facade—hence giving birth to 'The Obsidian Villa'.

Inside, the geometric tension of the sharp exterior lines is dramatically contrasted with warm natural walnut wood, luxurious expansive textiles, and hidden ambient lighting networks that react organically to the time of day.
